I had to use HIMEMX with /MAX=461760K or 450M. Anything higher, such as 461761K or 451M will throw an "out of memory" error.
There is probably an unsigned integer rolling over into the negative somewhere. What's interesting is that this number is already much smaller than 4294967295. I wonder what the significance is exactly.
This is a warning to anyone who might feel safe dual booting with Windows 98 and 512MB of memory.
I know that there are other applications that have issues as well, such as Wing Commander Privateer having garbled audio with too much memory.
