I have a Windows 98SE system built around an Athlon XP 2000+ processor, 512 MB RAM and GeForce 4200 Ti.
I was thinking of making a dual boot system with Windows XP. Main reason is to play certain games specifically the Wadjet Eye Games adventures (Blackwell series, Resonance, etc.) under XP on a dedicated CRT monitor.
I'm wondering if this is worth doing with this particular hardware config, especially with only 512 MB of RAM. These particular games do meet that spec, so I'm hoping they would be okay.
I don't play to run anything with steeper requirements as I already have a separate dedicated XP build for that.
So for 2D pixel art games that run under XP, would an Athlon XP 2000+ processor and 512 MB RAM be enough?
Alternatively, I suppose I could bump it to 1GB of RAM and tweak Windows 98...
