I bought a winfast a350 128mb and the dude has it flashed to fx5950 ultra
and it sucks, coil whine and not stable.
Does anyone has a fx5900 XT 128mb bios rom file I can have please so I can flash it back?

apparently it's not XT, it's This is FX5900 originally with clock speeds 400/850mhz.

MSI MS-6734 KM3M mobo / Athlon XP 3000+ /512mb ddr1 ram
Voodoo 3 3000 PCI @185mhz / Aureal vortex 2 (dell oem)
3dfx ref. drivers win98se and dual boot with winXP-32 bit running amigasport 3.0 3dfx drivers oc'd with koolsmokey's V.Control in XP

I have an MSI FX5900 vtd128.

I usually dump the bios of all my cards and archive that... but probably forgot to do so with this one.
I can dump the bios if you're interested, but not sure when i will be able to do so (card is stored in a box)

Alternatively, did you tried to lower the clocks speed of you card with nibitor ?

sadly MVKtech doesn't have downloads anymore, but you can reach out to them and see if they still have the file somewhere, because they did have the original A350 bios back then

I have MSI and Gainward, not sure how/if LeadTek is different. You can also edit current BIOS, I guess, and downclock the card?

its gonna be the memory, you need to match the memory type so you have the correct timings

On XT, it's 2.5ns Hynix usually.
So, 1000/2.5=400 => 800MHz DDR max in theory. Non-Ultra should be 2.2ns Hynix, so 900MHz max.
I can check timings later tonight.

Hynix and Samsung. I've seen them both from different vendors

Also XT is 700mhz ram it's 2.8, my 5900xt back in the day also used 2.8ns. the 5900NU was 800mhz though
