Hi,
I guess I need some help to continue a cloning project. I have two P4 computer with comparable hard disk interface. The computer boot from the MBR on the internal primary interface CF card where It start NTLDR and read BOOT.INI that is on C:\. This partition is FAT32 so it can either start Win98 or it can start Win2000 on the SD card that is on the internal secondary controller. This one is NTFS hosting the Win2000 OS and is where I run into problem. I could confirm my cloning was successful as I could swap the cards on the source computer.
Bootin Win98 work OK, but when booting Win2000 I get an BSOD after some files being loaded (so the BOOT.INI target description must be alright).
*** STOP: 0x0000007B (0xEB81B84C,0xC0000034,0x00000000,0x00000000)

Now I remember early version of NT was less resilient at being pushed away from board to board. I remember there where tools and procedure to do so. But searching the web I found no solution. I did try to do the procedure where you change the IDE ATA/ATAPI controller to Standard Dual Channel PCI-IDE Controller but it did not helped. In safe mode it crash after loading mup.sys (which is only the last dll being loaded). If I do an repair from the Win2000 repair it BSOD after the disk scan. The Asrock dont seem to support ACPI mode on/off while the noname board does. I'm not sure where to go from here, any suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you.
destination computer : Asrock P4i65g, AMI bios, Intel ICH5 (from vendor specs).
source computer : noname board, Phoenix bios, Intel 845GL/GV chipset (82801DB Ultra ATA Storage Controller - 24CB)
both computer : 32gb CF card on CF2IDE adaptor on internal primary controller + 32gb SD card on SD2IDE adaptor on internal secondary controller.
