Hello,

I would need a new cooler thats mostly blue for my socket 754 motherboard. Everything else is blue so that needs to be blue too. I tried to figure out what sockets are compatible with 754 to get a blue cooler because there are lots of them but noone mentions 754. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards Toro

I think AM2 coolers are compatible. Just get one and replace the fan with a blue one.

I'm using a DeepCool Ice Edge Mini FS 2.0 on my Socket 754 build. It works great and has a blue fan, if that fits your needs.

Thanks for the am2 tip!

Went with a SilverStone Argon SST-AR05 for a little white in there too. Buildin this one because this winter in my country isnt normal, well it was 20 years ago but this is a first time the first snow stays in the ground and it pours like a half meter in a 2 days period. I hate winter 😀

Now i just need to find a blue/white soundcard and the icedaemon is ready for gaming.

It'll be a difficult one to get a card worth having in a socket 754 system. The best you can get are probably YMF7x4 or Aureal Vortex cards which are more suited to DOS+Win9x than to WinXP or later.

Yes i am trying to source out a Aureal Vortex 2 in blue color or M-audio revolution. Pretty much all i can find in blue colors that are in pci. Havent even checked if they are XP compatible, thats what iam aiming for.

Afaik there are no working XP drivers for the Vortex2.
Albeit not having an EMU20K1 chip the Creative X-Fi Xtreme Audio (SB0790) is a blue colored low profile sound card with some software accelerated gaming features. As far as blue colored cards go this may be one of the better options for XP gaming.

Can recommend M-Audio Audiophile 24/96. No special gaming effects, but perfect for high-quality analog audio with real MIDI ports too. And it's blue 😉

Yeah thanks dionb found that too at a good prize. But at first wasnt sure if it was very game friendly. Found the revolution version but couldnt find it anywhere for sale. Interesting card though, thanks 😀
