Hi,
sorry my english is pretty bad.

Since i upgraded the RAM of this machine, the F10 Setup in no longer accessible .
I didnt create the 2 Diagnostics Disk from the setup, because it didnt seemed necessary at the time. And i am short of floppy disks.

Thats pretty bad, because of the turned on Palette Snoop option. Which is fine for the onboard graphics, but will mess up the colors of any other card. (tested it)

The newest one im able to find is this 1 disk 92 version:
https://archive.org/details/CompaqDiagnostics … 091492Rev.A1992

Where can i find the right version for my pc?

thx
D-Man

Ok according to wayback machine you need SP4711 (English version for "F10 Setup and Personal Computer Diagnostics") or SP1677 (Computer Setup for Windows for Deskpro and ProLinea)
http://web.archive.org/web/20000616094032/htt … ps/us/7_12.html
but 1677 is missing from everywhere I checked, only the .txt file found. If you can read French, German or Spanish: Sp1678, Sp1680 or Sp1681.
Here is link to SP4711.exe (it makes two floppies: Setup disk and Diagnostic disk): http://cwcyrix.duckdns.org/ftp-archives/ftp.c … 5000/SP4711.EXE
readme: http://cwcyrix.duckdns.org/ftp-archives/ftp.c … 5000/SP4711.TXT
link to area with Sp1677, 78, 80, etc: http://cwcyrix.duckdns.org/ftp-archives/compa … aq/sp1501-2000/

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun
