Hi,

This has been here allready but new questions came up. I think i found whats wrong with it but before i solder everything together i wanted to as if that 12+ volt line should connect to something.

In the AT power connector in the pic the line doesnt go anywhere that i can figure out. It does connect to the corresponding ISA pin but i was thinking if it needs to connect to the AT power connector.

This mobo is a varta damaged and the problem i guess is with the sockets, not traces. 2 more sockets were as bad as the power connector and some components were nasty. But before i solder
everything up and buy new parts, i need to know if that needs to be connected in the AT power line. I doesnt look like it but theres no trace going under it either, maybe more layers?

Can you take a picture of the back of board ?
Not sure of your boards PSU connector but most have the "tangs" pointing away from the SIMMS and the square should be pin1, so the power leads should be like in my picture (if my memory is still good 😀 )
The blue line is my guess where the +12v runs (on opposite side of the board or in internal layer but looks like a via to back of board) and should run to the ISA slots and any onboard parts.

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

Thanks Horun, i think it must be in the layers. Voltages are correct everywhere but it still wont boot, though the other sockets were as bad as that AT connector. Still need to remove that in the pic 😀

Hi! You can hold the PCB against a bright light source to "see through" it.
That way, you can also see where the traces are destroyed and you can solder patch wires, accordingly.

Good luck! 🙂👍
