Terminator (1991) allowed you to roam at will across a large area of Los Angeles. It was really groundbreaking at the time. (I guess it's the spiritual ancestor of the GTA games.)

Is this too much voodoo?

It had 3D first person environments in addition to the FMV actors.

just check two last released advnetures and one of them is 3D

Game is in French and they didn't even bothered adding English voices not mentioning other languages.

It looks they may be cheaper to make than I thought as King's Quest: The Silver Lining is a free fanmade game.

It looks there may be more 3D adventures than i thought 😉

starting with Under a Killing Moon (1994) we got 1 game a year in a week 😉
not that much for a 3D revolution that took over all the other genres 😉

I feel like I'm missing a post before the list in the OP. Is there some specific definition of 3D Adventure Game we're sticking to?

I'm assuming the environments must be rendered real time in 3D, rather than static pre-rendered backgrounds.

Does it have to have point and click navigation, or can the character be controlled directly with a keyboard or gamepad? What about jumping/platforming or real time interaction?

What about first person games with adventure elements?

So many questions... 😀
