Hello!

I hope someone can help me... for years I'm searching for a solution to play my beloved KQ7 on XP.
I tried everything: I copied the "sierraw.exe" file and renamed it, I changed the compatibility and the colors... tried the DOS Box (but I have the Win version which i know now...).
When I run the game it always says: Windows title not found

What else can I try?

You can't run it directly from the executable. The "Windows title not found" means that the path to the config file is not included with the shortcut. Even if you get it running, you won't be able to get past the firecracker timer bug. Look for a file on the CD called version. Open it in Notepad. Depending on the version, I made a patch that will upgrade the game to version 2 with a DOS interpreter, which can be played in DOSBox to avoid the timer bug.

I searched for this patch, found it, installed it and the game runs!!
