Hi there folks,
I have just repaired a nice baby AT Motherboard, to finally take out the strength from my AMD K6/3+ processor. I will finally let to use the 100mhz FSB and the 6x hidden multiplier.
So I assembled all the system and all works, but when I install the VIA chipset drivers, I encounter a problem. The system become so slow.
It came out that the UDMA mode is slowing all here, like the VIA chipset simply can't handle it.
I tried Via Hyperion 4.35, 4.41, 4.56.
I am using a Windows 98SE operative system to enjoy gaming with a nice Geforce 2 GTS 32MB.
How can I use UDMA driver so? If not, can I load at least the Multiword DMA?
Someone can help me about that? Thanks a lot.
I have a 40GB hard disk Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 ST340014A
