Post and summary screen says that it is there and working but speedsys graph says otherwise..

AMD 386DX-40

Ideas?

Do I need to use a program to enable it?

Tried turbo on and off, nothing.

Tried memory remap on/off, nothing.

Does cachechk report anything suspicious?

Check that the jumper settings on the motherboard matches the capacity of the cache chips that are installed (including the TAG RAM).

They do.

The plot thickens…

I looked up a old benchmark of the board

file.php?id=153025&mode=view

It seems it ***was*** working at one time…

Could the fasmath I have now be to blame?

Disable cache from BIOS and benchmark, does performance change? (is cache not detected or not active?)
Also just remove the FPU temporarily if you feel it might be affecting something, it's not very probable but easy to rule it out.
Next step would be to re-seat the chips.
