HI.
I've created this youtube channel some years ago... it'is all about videogames music. After a break, i decided to start again and as fast as I can, i'm going to update all uploaded contents (with static images ) and I'm going to publish new contents as well. My channel is all about recording and try (as this is an hobby for me) to remaster and enhance videogame's soundtrack . Whenever possible, recording process has been done using real hardware instead of emulators. Maybe someone could be interested!

I never touched the Dune 2 or Dune 2000 files, but I did (years ago) extract the C&C soundtrack and I remember the music files having names that didn't always make it obvious what the full name of the soundtrack was.

I never had a Roland, nice having these recordings available 😀

Dune 2 was the first RTS I played, then I almost play all of them for years... (it was something like a drug) command & conquer, red alert, Warcraft, starcraft and so on. Starcraft online with modem created dipendence. MT-32 was a king of dream, at that time as a student I couldn't afford such amount of money, but in 1992 i bought my first sound blaster.

Recording has been done with Real Hardware, Roland MT-32 First Release.
As there's no midi file available, after different attempts with Hoot (I even wrote to the developer, I really hope he could solve this king of issue) I've recorded the tracks trough Dos Box.

Dune 2 was also my first RTS. Then came C&C (with covert ops), RA, then some others which didn't really interest me as much because TA was basically all I ever wanted for a long while 😜
I did like RA2 and C&C Generals though.

Recording has been done with Real Hardware, Super Nintendo PAL version, SuperCIC, uIGR & D4 Patch Mod together with Digital Audio Board output.
Some tracks are forcing me to an hard click removing, I think the digital audio output is merciless with some 8bit samples.
