I see these turn up on ebay. Usually made by IBM and some others.

Also AMD made a PCnet-ISA chipset designed for ISA too, but not very much on ebay.

I have hard time finding drivers for DOS and 98SE windows for these PCI and ISA AMD PCnet series.

As aside, there is another one that is made by ti TLAN chipset but this not much on drivers scene, also found on compaq ethernet PCI cards as TENTE1x0 series.

Vogons does not have software for these chipsets mentioned above.

Cheers,

Great Northern aka Canada.

25+ year memory fade, but I think back when I used AMD adapters on Windows 95, that there were drivers on the Win95 CD, so you could try breaking them out and using them on 98 if you can't select AMD PCNet manually on 98

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.

If you read around here: http://web.archive.org/web/20000303094843/htt … ly/drivers.html
you can find the AMD files here: https://ftp.zx.net.nz/pub/drivers/AMD/pcnet/

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun
