Most stuff has turned up from preceding posts, apart from that Toshiba clamshell and a V3 AGP...
But, despite finding a bunch of graphics cards and V3 PCIs, I am still having thoughts that I am missing some. I came to considering early 3D cards and realised I should have had more than one Rage II. I think I had a IIC and a II+DVD at one point, plus a really lame 2MB one which I can't remember whether was an original Rage or a RageII.
Back in the early noughts, before modern retro movement, I was still curious about what was "obsolete junk" going for pennies mostly, that I hadn't myself run. Like the RageII and others. I believe at that time I also picked up permedia and glint cards, but no sign of those yet. That plus being sure I had a V3 AGP makes me think I have missed a box somewhere. Possibly a box with software boxes in top or something and hardware under. Though I have been a "product box" recycler, I found the last bunch of graphics in a motherboard box. So I might have to check every box in a storage box.
In thinking about another thing I last saw some years back, an old TV/Radio, I suddenly pictured a fruit box that may have had that, another old radio and a clamshell laptop in... I only have vague suspicions about where that might be.... and of course it's middle/bottom of one of the most awkward stacks. Meanwhile though, I have been picking up every rubbermaid roughneck tote I come across for cheap. I am standardizing on those because of how well they stack, and the design is unchanged for years. So I have a dozen of those I intend to repack this ungainly pile into. I better take photos and number everything as I do it. Though I might only end up with 3 full totes and a goodwill/yardsale pile. Maybe that will smoke out an ancient laptop and some more cards.
Crates! I solved another storage conundrum. I acquired some time ago a stack of milk crates. Sturdy, but with the disadvantage of they being too "holey" and small things dropping out, and things in them getting dusty. So the "right thing" to store in them hasn't occurred to me, in view of disadvantages. Also disadvantageous but cheap and available, are those floppy fold up "storage cube" things. Really only suited to being stuffed with sweaters in your wardrobe.... BUT... insert floppy storage cube in crate... tadaaa!!! Yes, de-holified, de-dustified, sturdy. Anyway... seems like I am going to be putting spare drives and PSUs, wallwarts and cables in those. Those things get heavy quick in much quantity and kill a cardboard box easily. So can't go too large, can't use anything weak, so crates with liners it is.
Anyway, just hoping as I get into the stack repack and organise, some interesting stuff comes out.
Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.
