I got a motherboard without bios, bios from here
https://theretroweb.com/motherboards/s/ecs-sl486ve#downloads
gave nothing. I'm looking for a bios dump from the same, obviously working motherboard.
Thanks in advance.

Hmmm.. inside that bios is the strings:
40-0100-001131-00101111-121291-SIS-EISA.
AMIBIOS (C)1991 American Megatrends Inc., ..SL486VE V1.0 02-22-93.
So it should be the correct bios.
Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

Where do you got this board from?
I assume somebody could not get the board running, and before trashing it, he/she removed the BIOS.

I have this (working) board - can probably dump the BIOS using the ROMSAVAT app from the GETROM archive

That would be great if you could, also please specify the eeprom type/model. Thanks 😀
Also the board uses a DS1387 "ramafied" RTC and if like the DS1587 "serialized" for EISA will not allow a bootup if the battery is dead from my experience..

Like all of us. I bought it at a flea market ... Yes, maybe so, but usually bios are removed for collection. I already desoldered Dallas, today the socket should come by mail, i will solder socket for Dallas. Repair to Dallas i already did, there was 3 volts, now 3.6 volts.

I would be very grateful if this can be done.
Yes!!! It was dead Dallas. Now the motherboard has started, so the BIOS is correct. )))

Glad you got it working again 😀 (was pretty sure my BIOS version was the same as the one on The Retro Web anyway) - if you need the EISA config app / files for the board, let me know

That is great ! Good work ! Glad you kept working on it to see it finally boot proper.
Can you take a good picture of your board and post it here ? And any other info you found about the SL 486VE that was hard to find would be nice too.

Don't know if its the same as what @boroda might have, but I've left a post of what I've got (manual & EISA config) for the Retro Web team - Re: The Retro Web submissions thread: suggest edits and/or add new boards here
Thanks !

Yes, i'll try to take a photo tomorrow. And for not to make legends. I also found that my oscillator held in the socket miraculously. Perhaps Dallas did not require repair. But this action did not get worse and he now stands on the socket.
P.S. Pentium ODPR 83MHz runs ok.

I don't think i can add anything. You even have a scan of the original manual. Thanks, great job.
