BIG upgrade:

I found a motherboard in my garage that I must have purchased long ago and forgot about it.
So I am going to put it in.
It’s an Intel 430tx motherboard.
Intel Space walker / shuttle.

This should fix the DIMM memory socket problem I was having with the other motherboard so I can use
64mb of RAM.

Nice, the cost-reduced version of the legendary Shuttle "Spacewalker" HOT-569. That board could hit 90MHz FSB, unheard of on the 430TX chipset. Most PCI cards crapped out at that point.

What is the higher end Intel shuttle 430tx model ?
The only thing this does not have is onboard audio.

You keep referring to the board as 'Intel shuttle 430tx'. Why?

The board is manufactured by Shuttle Inc. Shuttle Inc. and Intel (or Intel Corporation) are completely independent entities. Intel only manufactured the chipset, they were not involved in manufacturing this motherboard. Same as any ASUS, Gigabyte or MSI board with an Intel chipset.

The board model you're using is called 'Spacewalker HOT-569A' and it was made by Shuttle Inc.
Intel only provided the chipset.

Are you ready for some Football ?
This is a Rock Solid High Performance period correct Win-95 computer build.
Perfect for playing high impact demanding games.
This is what a high performance gaming computer build looked like back in Windows 95 era.

PC football is what got me into computers in the first place. Remember back in 1994 playing Konami NFL on my bro's Packard Bell, think he
got tired of my "frequent visits" 😁.

In 1996 got my own pc which was a 133hz. pentium "no name" brand. Eventually installed Sierra's Front Page Sports Football Pro 98 which
I play even to this day.

Need for Speed.

Does NFS II SE 3DFx work properly on your Voodoo 3? The one with fog and whatnot.

My builds: 1995 VLB, 2003 Acrylic
SBEMU compatibility reports

Yes. Make sure to use the patch for the Banshee, though. Re: Is Need for Speed III supposed to have fog?

I have a couple Sound Blaster AWE32 sound cards that are more Win95 era correct. I will swap out my AWE64 for one of these.
Which one should I use?
They are both in like NEW condition.
Both read CT3600
But one has Black Memory SIM holders and the other has White Memory SIM holders ?
Manufacture date 1995
And Windows-95 installation CD provides drivers for this card ( Plug-n-Play )

You might be finding a 1995 date on the PCB somewhere, but the white socket one has chips from early 96 and the black socket one from middle 96, so the white socket one is oldest, spring and fall shipping dates maybe. I can't see any chip revision differences to tell any diffence between them electronically, guess try the white socket one, and if it hisses too much see if the black socket one better.

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.

The Magic of Windows 95. It was the Beginning of the End for Unix Dominated computer Market.
With the power of the Pentium CPU, Greater Memory support, and easy of use Internet, CDROMs, Multimedia, and Multitasking.
Intel CPU’s, Windows 95 and NT 4.0 ended up Dominating the computer market. ( Win-Tel )
These were the “Best Bang for Buck” computers of the 1990’s.

If ever there was a PC gaming computer to build this is the One.

With ease of use Win95/98 and the Power of WinNT this Low cost CPU and Computers Wreaked Havoc on the Computer Industry.
It was the “Best Bang-4-Buck” computer value of the 1990’s.

If Ever there was a Gaming computer to Build this 1st. Gen. Intel CPU is the Computer to Build.
