Which version is it? CD? Disk? Did you download it?

for Sabre Team? I'm using files I directly copied from my Sabre Team CD. I installed from the CD and it didn't work so I copied 'em to hard drive and it didn't work, sooo... yeah it's from the Sabre Team CD.

Make sure you installed them from the CD - copying them will give it a read only tag.

great now it won't let me mount my D: drive it says directory d does not exist... I have a sneaking suspicion that Dosbox hates me

(humorous tone) ELABORATE, vile fiend!

ok, tell me everything YOU typed in to get sabre team to work then

***omfg i finally got D mounted and typed install and nothing happened it jus acted as if something WERE going to happen (so I assumed it did install it to C) and it didn't.

my question now is, what does dosbox run from i mean maybe this is going to sound stupid but do i need the latest java or something like that? does dos box require service pack 2 for XP?

Besides Dosbox itself you don't need anything. It really sounds as if something is really wrong. Maybe a bad Dosbox? Try a different version.

Probably a wise decision.
