Looking at the XTIDE Universal BIOS release notes, I see that MODULE_ADVANCED_ATA has native support for QDI Vision QD6500 and QD6580 VLB IDE controllers.

Does anyone have that working? Did you detect any measurable performance improvements?

Sorry for the bump. Just wanted to pop this up to see if anyone had any experience with MODULE_ADVANCED_ATA & native support for QDI Vision QD6500 and QD6580 VLB IDE controllers.

Here is old post that shows QD6580 performance with 1.8" Toshiba HDD. Also happens to show 33 vs 40 MHz VLB clock differences.
