Hello all,

I recently found my old 7th guest discs, and upon finding DOSbox, decided to try and install them again.

when I insert the second cd, my computer mounts it at /media/7TH_GUEST_2, so in DOSbox, I mount like:

mount d /media/7TH_GUEST_2 -t cdrom

which mounts it find as a cdrom, I then mount my home folder as C:

mount c /home/Cereal

I go to d: and type "INSTALL", and tell the installer to install in C:, which effectively installs to my home folder, works like a charm.

So, now I shut down DosBox and restart it, mounting the newly created 7th guest folder as C:, and the second disc as D:, I go to C: and try to start the game by typing "T7G" and it tells me:

Error: Couldn't load the sound driver.

annndd I pull a blank. I'm compleatly at a loss at what to do, it configured the soundblaster card in the install so this confuses me...Can anyone help? Much appricated.

Read my 60 seconds guide, and pay special attention to note no. 2.

I then mount my home folder as C:

mount c /media/7TH_GUEST_1

/media/7TH_GUEST_1 is your home folder?

Works Perfect! I'm not too sure what the issue was, but I wasn't using the -ioctl switch when mounting the cd, or typing paths with "", but either way, it works perfectly, all hail DOSbox!
