Bad bad bad CRT manufacturers...

https://crtclaims.com/

I can think of at least a couple CRTs I purchased during that time that would apply... but the stupid lawsuit apparently doesn't apply to my particular state? Nice.

I think it's a little weird that the details don't seem to mention NEC, because those were the ones I remember seeing during that time period that were under the "Mitsubishi" umbrella. I owned an NEC Multisync FE991SB and still have an HP P1230, which is a relabeled Mitsubishi DiamondPro 2070SB.

Anyway, I figured there would be some CRT owners here that may be included in this.

In recent years I have gotten small payouts from optical disk drive price fixing settlements as well as the nvidia GTX 970 settlement, and was never required to do anything beyond fill out the forms.

Make sure to post back here whenever you eventually get the payment check. 😁

look, i'm filing a claim. i don't live in an eligible state now, but i did during the time period covered by the lawsuit. i intend to provide no documentation of residency whatsoever. ethically, i don't have a conflict, but even if i did i would still submit a claim anyway for 1 simple fact: i had to pay $50 ea to get rid of my last 2 big crt televisions.

i thought: what a bargain! all i have to pay is $50 and someone will come and haul this 250lb hulk away from my curb.

nooooooo!!!!!!!!!! i had to manhandle this 250lb center of gravity 2in from one edge monster into a borrowed truck and haul it myself 25mi to the nearest recycling center and pay $50 for the privilege.

i'm still salty about that. someone is going to pay for these outrages even if they had nothing to do with it.
