I've have been given this floppy drive with the lever broken, someone forced without the floppy inserted and then the plastic piece that let the floppy disk to be pinched against the moving engine has broken.
The result is that the lever gets down even without the floppy and won't pinch the disk to make it spin.
I was able to pull the lever but I have been so dumb to don't take a picture of before. I was able to use super glue on the broken plastic piece but there were 2 springs which aren't in place anymore.
The pictures found with google aren't helping enough:

The attachment s-l1600.jpg is no longer available

1) First spring
2) plastic piece that was broken and didn't let the upper part to pinch the disk
3) Second spring

Something seems wrong in this picture (courtesy of ebay)
While this one seems ok but it's from a bad angle:

The attachment epson-sd-600-25-floppy-drive_1_22d9d36625db61b0d033e8eb0b50d39e.jpg is no longer available

Anyone with this drive is willing to take some pictures of the area?

Thanks

Hmm... I am pretty sure I have one of these in a PC somewhere. I will try to find it and post some pictures.

Thank you so much.
This is how I supposed it was assembled:

Apparently there is another issue, the plastic thing has a dent in the same position as the metal piece I need to reglue it while in the right position but that won't allow the metal thing being positioned back in place since it won't pass the hole.

How in the hell was assembled back in time?

Found it! It was in my cobbled nightmare of a 386SX machine. I never did make a thread about that...
Anyway, I hope these help!

Now for some blitting from the back buffer.

Many thanks those pictures definitely clarify the situation, now I just need to understand how to reglue the plastic piece and then make it goes in since the dent wont' allow to do anything else.
