hi guys & girls !

i have a problem with shadowcaster, i wanted to finally play this game after well 10 years i bought it?:)

ok everytime the intro or first cutscene begins it lasts only about 5 seconds and fails to load any further ! then a normal dos window appears and tells me something like "cd error 100 dev req: write protection error" this game is original from ea cd-rom classics.
i can continue the game after the mesage but i really want to see the cutscenes too.

thanks !

It is not like kind of information is top-secret....

Wow. Then your problem with the game must not be a secret either and should be easily fixable correct?

How about posting some detailed information?

Your OS and Service Pack Level
What version of DosBox you are using.
The EXACT mount commands you are using for your HD and CD.

It sounds to me like your running the game off the cdrom.

Hmm, looks perfectly okay to me.

Did you install the game from inside DOSBox? From the D: prompt in DOSBox?

Try it with a cue/bin pair, and if it still happens please post a screenshot.

Hmm good question - I use UltraISO myself but you'll need to find a crack or buy it.

The free version of ISOBuster can do that, although occasionally it doesn't detect the ISO mode correctly, and then you have to open the cue file and manually change "MODE2/2352" to "MODE1/2352" or vice versa.
