I wouldn't mind using some of the retro NES style USB or bluetooth controllers with my old game pc.

Anyone know of a modern adapter that can interface these with a DB15 gameport?

It seems like something a Raspberry Pi's gpio pins should be able to easily handle. I see plenty of adapters to use a DB15 joystick on a modern USB system, but notihng that converts a modern joystick into gameport mode...

Check out the USB4VC at https://github.com/dekuNukem/USB4VC.

It lets you attach USB and Bluetooth keyboards, mice, and game controllers to PCs with AT, PS/2, Serial, and 15-pin game ports. (Apple ADB works as well if you get that protocol board.)
