I try to start this game under Dosbox 0.71. And both exe-files (setup and paradise) gives me the same message: " ERROR: Not enough system handles available!". If it was pure DOS, I could tinker with files and buffers in the config.sys. But DOSBox haven't config.sys! What can I do?

Very weird behaviour for a 1997 game.

Boot DOS in Dosbox?

😮 😕 😊
Thank you, DosFreak! Simply solutions never came to me by itself. %)

All that remains for me is to discover, how it can be done... 😀 Where is this FAQ? 😉

It was rhetorical question. 😊 I already take link from DosFreak signature, found several new (for me) ideas, reread read.me, and now thinking, where can I found image of DOS 6.22... 😀

Most likely at your local msdos-6.22 dealer.

Besides that i don't get that error message for the game, neither for the
setup nor for the game itself. Maybe look around for a patch or something,
or reinstall the game within dosbox.

It is most fantastic idea actually. 😁 Software market really begin to exist in Russia somewhere around year 2000. And not-game-related software market not exist in provinces even now. So there is no such thing as "local MS-DOS dealer". 😀

Oh. Then it means, I have broken game, and MS-DOS really not needed. 😀 And no, there is no patch, AFAIK.Thank you for info! 😀

True. Should we start explicitly marking the ironic replies next time?

Sorry. 🙁 I haven't proper sense of humor, so take most replies without smiles as serious. I'll try to avoid doing it in the future. 😀

Maybe check if the game is really broken, that is check the cd for physical
errors and create a cd image if it's fine.

Yes, it was broken install. I found another disk with PP (old was bought somewhere at late 90th, second handed. Disks in Russia very often was broken at this time). All is work under DOSBox. 😀 Thank you for guidelines! 😀
