I have a new project. My first self-made AT project, using an ATX case and power supply. After a lot of problems I've made progress, but I need a mouse. There would be two options. The PS/2 header, and the serial header onboard. I don't have the right bracket, of course, and both connections don't seem to be standard. I'd prefer PS/2 as I don't have a serial mouse, but the risk of breaking something is high.
Therefore I ask you whether you know the correct assignment of the pins of the two headers. The manual shows no assignment. By measuring I found out that pin 1 on the PS/2 is 5V, what would be standard there? Data?
