Hello,
I happened to come across another sound card: CT3670.
More out of interest than necessity, I'd like to populate the SIMM banks. But there are only very few suitable 30-pin modules here in Germany.
Hence my questions to you: I know that 2x16MB, ie 32MB (28MB usable), fit on it, but that's nonsense. What would be the usual equipment? 8MB? 4MB modules are not exactly common either, and they are expensive, but they can be found, but only individually. As far as I've read, parity RAM can also be used, so far so good, but the modules are almost always only offered individually here. To what extent can different SIMM RAM be mixed? I found two individual modules of the same speed, with identical memory chips, the only difference being the parity chip, I believe. Would it be possible to combine the modules?
Thanks! And yes, you can also make modules yourself, but I can't. 😉
