Hi all!
Well, perhaps just for all the wrong reasons, I bought a not too expensive Slot 1 mainboard with the idea to add it a more powerfull CPU, maybe by using a slocket adapter...
The board is a QDI 5 Advance (VIA chipset), bundled with a a 550 MHz P III.
It should be -at the very least- an improvement over the 99% of the PCChips boards you find around here.

My undestanding is that (according to TRW) I could use any of these Slot 1 Coppermine processors:
Coppermine / 100 MHz FSB
Intel Pentium III 1000E
Intel Pentium III 850
Intel Pentium III 800E
Intel Pentium III 750
Intel Pentium III 700
Intel Pentium III 650
Intel Pentium III 600E
But... I'm not finding any Slot 1 PIII processor in the area, so I wonder if I could use one of these 'slocket' adapters along with a Socket 370 CPU:
"PII CPU CARD REV 1.5"
"PII CPU CARD REV 1.31" ---> (Edit: user Grem Five suggests pic belongs to a diff adapter and he's probably right)
"unknown slocket adapter"
These are the only ones available, and unfortunately the ads provide no better info nor images than what I'm posting here.
They are marked as P II, but perhaps that's only because of when they where released... I didn't take too much time to read on the matter because if they are useful I should get them before they sold.
And, by the way, whether with or without adapter, could I use a Celeron? Why are there no Coppermine Celerons listed as compatible?
Thanks in advance.
Edit: Third adapter added.
