I first had this problem (and still have it) on Mandriva 2008 beta 2 and figured it was due to the fact it was a beta, but after my laptop shut down while DOSbox was in use I have the problem in Windows XP as well. The problem I am having is that when I try to fullscreen it just centers the screen and surrounds it with a black frame. If someone could tell me how to go about fixing this on both OS I would greatly appreciate it.

Different output= settings, fiddling with the fullscreensize= and scaler= settings.

I personally use output=ddraw and then set any resolution for fullscreensize (native is best for an LCD if you have the CPU power).

See if that works for you. If not try fooling around with Overlay and normal2x scaler. It worked for my older 19" LCD.
