Hi,
I'm trying to get a tualitin 1.2GHz celeron to run in a slotket on an MSI 6119 440bx based P3 motherboard.
The chip is a tualitin 1.5v 1.2GHz 100MHz FSB part.
I have 2 of the chips and about 4 different slotkets
I have modded the slotkets as attached (https://web.archive.org/web/20170829114242/ht … /reads/MSMG.htm) though not the voltage pins as that doesnt seem to be needed (see below)
The board fails to POST. POST card just shows -- --
With coppermine CPUs, they boot and work fine including overclocking.
I've checked the vcore voltages on the slotkets test points and the CPU is receiving the 1.5v required (even though the board shouldnt support it!)
One the slokets has manual voltage controls down to 1.8v and I have tried that too just in case - again I get 1.8v as expected.
The CPUs definately work as I have another socket 370 tualitin capable board and the post and run fine in that.
Would the BIOS prevent a tualitin working? I have the last official bios update installed - it does seem to recognise my pentum 3 933 though it doesnt correctly report my coppermine celeron 1Ghz but it still boots and posts fine.
Is there anything else that I am missing that would stop it booting?
Thanks
