n00b here. I've been trying to get Jetfighter working with DOSBox without any luck. Apparently it's status is 'broken' but I was led to this forum via a link on that page to this topic where some of you were able to get it working.

However that topic is over a year old, and like I said I didn't have any luck getting it working (i.e. couldn't get passed the title screen and using jf.exe b crashes it). If anyone out there has gotten this working, some specific steps would be appreciated by this n00b.

I'm running Vista Home Premium by the way. I'll try to post my system specs if needed.

Go to the 2nd page of the topic you are linking to, and download that special
dosbox build. Jetfighter will only work with this build.

Thank you, but I've tried that and am unclear about what to do next. Where do I extract dosbox.exe to? Do I use that to replace the already installed dosbox.exe? Does this build only work with a certain version of DOSBox?

Thank you, but like I said I'm a real n00b at this.

Extract it somewhere, copy sdl.dll and sdl_net.dll from your current dosbox
installation into that same directory. Then run the dosbox.exe and create
a dosbox.conf file if you want (see the readme).
