There Is now an emulator called sbemu that add DOS compatibility on near any ac97 Intel HD integrate audio card now, you can find iit googling for sbemu.
Alright, it's been a few years, but I've just released a first build of a32ichdg.dll.
Basically, this is an AIL/32 driver built around the DOS player code that I asked people to test in this topic.
It combines the AIL/32 driver code that John Miles released years ago with the ICH player code initially written by Jeff Leyda.
Even though the AIL/32 driver is based on the code that is the subject of this topic, I think it's worth creating a separate topic for that one.
But I wanted to mention it here too. Again, like with the ICH DOS player, help with testing on actual hardware is much appreciated! Thanks. 🙏🏽
