Hey everyone ,

I've got a lot of troubles with those boards as i has 3 of them. At first check i made after i bought those boards everything was fine it was powered on i could enter bios too. Everything went complicated once i started test it futher . Board one refuses to boot from hdd and it hung up right at boot sequence plus keyboard hung or not presented time to time . Second board has same issues . Third one hovever booted from hdd but keyboard isssues remain presented but time to time it could back alive . So i thought it might be keyboard or bios issues and after checking those versions found that its not keyboard or bios .It also could be dead MIO chip but on 3 motherboards simultaneously more likely not possible. After few more tries i found that when hang happens coil has 0 volts instead of 2.8 volts while transistors gives 2.8 volts which is strange. It could be vrm issue but sometime it back to life so its quite confusing .After some time one of the boards that refuses to boot from hhd booted normaly .Its really strange that all 3 boards have almost the same symptoms . Maybe someone has somethig similar and could give some clues i would be much appreciated.

A good photo would be nice. A close-up of the VRM area as well since you found that strange voltage issue.
It could be a dead capacitor, cracked solder on the coil. It might also be something more serious like cracked solder balls under BGA chips, but you should first investigate the things that you can check.

I presume you reflashed the BIOS on all boards. If not, do it to rule it out.
Bit rot is a thing.

Yesterday I started testing crystal oscillators on a few motherboards I have:

1. dead and no signal 32KHz, board dead anyway.
2. alive but lower than expected signal, also on another working board; bad 32K
3. 32KHz going from 0 to 5MHz (I don't know how), all other crystals I checked behaved the same on this board, probably bad southbridge.

It is a possibility and if you can test them do it. Also it could be a bad cap...

It's crazy when something malfunctions, it takes forever to pinpoint.

I can confirm that, I had several non starting mainboards with defective 32 KHz oscillators during 2022/23 alone.

Thank you for your replys . After some more testing i found that one IDE chanel doesnt work and no matter what jumpers i set voltage remains the same as well as multiplier but it changing from 2.5x to 3x range. Im start thinking that one of chipsets is on a way to rip .
