I'd like to use win3.11 to go to the internet.
I installed my network driver tcp32b
and the card's driver, a built-in card for D865PERL
But when starting win3.11, it says the network wasn't started, although I've tried million times already
I looked the above link and saw a line that DOSBox can simulate modem over TCP/IP, does it hopefully mean that there is a chance to surf the internet from win3.11, I've seen a few threads in this ng asking the similar questions... but still unsure.... Could you please verify?
One more thing is if Win3.11 works with networks, is it possible to run DOS Telnet programs such as Clarkson Telnet? 😅
Thanks
Jack

You should not use DOSBox for this. It does not support any direct access to your network card. Use VirtualPC, VMware, Bochs or any of the other emulators instead.

So far the easiest way to go to the Internet is using a real modem with directserial. I haven't tried other theoretical options. You probably have to run Win3.11 from a booted Image to get the networking going.
