still is practically double the fps than my machine, it may be due to a better gpu, more cache and higher frequency on the cpu, don't know if there is something else going on, like bios optimizations

Maybe I'm missing something existential, but I have trouble understanding why (other than extreme nostalgia, I suppose) one would want to run Unreal Tournament on a vintage system, especially one at the lower bound of period-correctness...
UT99 is one of my favourite games, and i like to push systems to the extreme boundaries, I have a lot of computers that can play this or newer games, the performance of my main rig is ridiculous for what this game needs
running older games on newer systems is more an excersise of patching and fixing various issues, whether running it in the lowest possible system is more fun, for me at least
like running glquake with a voodoo2 on a 486 class cpu, or using windows 95 on a 386-25 with 4mb of ram, you know it's gonna be awful but i enjoy these kind of things
