Hello everyone, I would like to express my gratitude for VDMSound, and don't intend to complain. But please, please, etc. , could someone, who knows the project well, provide on the main VDMSound page a list of updates, updated DLL's, even SpeedSet and such? I think it's truly a shame that such a fine project as this be scattered around so carelessly. I know on a previous install of XP I found some DLL updates, that worked beautifully, but now I don't have a clue where it is or even the current version of SpeedSet. Nothing more than a table of links would be of tremendous benefit to both users and VDMSound's appreciation.

Basically, it's already there under "What's new..."

...but now I don't have a clue where it is or even the current version of SpeedSet.

Speedset is a separate program that is compatible with VDMSound. You'll have to ask someone else on that, as I'm not big on tinkering with timing issues.

For SPEEDSET, check the SPEEDSET forum. 😀 It's like 1.0.1 or something. Then there is the updated version of the OPL emulation DLL somewhere on this site

Honestly I'd like it too. Maybe I'll mock up a cheap crappy W3C-noncompliant bare html page with links on it. Hmm...

Thanks for the fast replies. I was aware of that "files" page, which includes 2 versions of LaunchPad and Update 1, however it's incomplete. I remember specifically stumbling on several DLL updates in the forum, and I have no way of knowing, short of searching everywhere where or if they exist.
Anyway, Snover, I would appreciate that. I don't want to be pushy though. Maybe just extend the "files" page?

Basically, it's this:

The original VDMSound v2.04 package with installer.
The Beta GUI Launchpad, v1.0.0.7
The "Update 1" files
DiskWriter.dll v1.0.4.3 (Updated after "Update 1")
EmuAdLib.dll v1.0.4.4 (Updated after "Update 1")
EmuPPDAC.dll v1.0.4.4 (Updated after "Update 1")

... Anyway, Snover, I would appreciate that. I don't want to be pushy though.

Yes, that looks like what I meant, thank you! I just thought they should be easy to find, but I'll stop complaining. Even though I don't know either of you I appreciate your general helpfulness, having read others' questions. Thanks again!

Hopefully, the "real world" will loosen it's grip on Vlad and we can get an All-In-One package someday....
