Any Soundblaster should be allright. The Soundblaster cards were most widely supported. If you have enabled Gravis Ultrasound by setting gus=true in your dosbox.conf or simply by typing gus=true at the command line, you can also try Ultrasound. This might lead to better performance, as there is no software mixer needed or even to better sound, espacially when running demos.
