It's a PCI video card with the S3 Vision968 chip: https://www.vgamuseum.info/index.php/cpu/item … 55-s3-vision968

It's rated as having generally good DOS games compatibility.

Performance-wise, it's not as fast as the S3 Trio64 in DOS, but would be faster in Windows. Benchmarks are here: Re: Benchmarks for high-end VLB graphic cards - ET4000W32P/ARK1000VL/Trio64/S3 Vision968/Mach64

Pentium 4 Multi-OS Build

486 DX-33 with 5 sound cards

Dual-ported VRAM.
Below average in DOS games, much better in high resolution/color/refresh modes.

In low-res, it's definitely near the bottom for PCI cards - http://vgamuseum.info/images/vlask/bench/quake320.png

Edit:
Anyway, your benchmarks perfectly show the difference between regular DRAM (Vision 868) and dual-ported VRAM (Vision 968)...
in low-res, both are poor, 968 being only a little better
in high-res, 868 remains poor, but 968 gets very good indeed

There are many cards which are MUCH worse in VGA, it's not the best S3 card though, but on much slower system there won't be any sizeable difference.

That test is not VGA and mostly irrelevant.
