Seriously, keep it! You'll regret selling it after some time. Believe me, been there done that...

It's supposed to be required, but I had one without heatsink or fan running as my main PC for about 4 years. Just make sure it's the SL Enhanced version.

Well, certain games just sound bet with a GUS. Jazz Jackrabbit, OMF, Epic Pinball... But it's up to you of course. I have a GUS MAX, I can easily hear the difference when compared to any SB.

It would be this one (see photo), I think it's a very normal Intel 486DX2-66, I already have some AMD and ST ones, and they all have a heatsink and fan, I also have a Cyrix and an Intel with a heatsink and no fan, even if there isn't one written, fan and heatsink (required), I think to use a heatsink from a P4 chipset, and add a fan, it will definitely be better, I just need to find a way to fix it, maybe I would use hot glue, around the edges.

At minimum I would use a heatsink. Depending on case airflow, a fan might be a good idea as well.

There was some inconsistency around this time when some PC builders would use heatsinks and some would not.

But adding extra cooling never hurts.

Since this is a PnP GUS, you will have to deal with some of the PnP compatibility challenges (e.g. patching GUS games) to get it to work with things.

At the same time, the added RAM on this card is great for software like Impulse Tracker and creation or playback of larger .IT files.

In fact, I was actually thinking of adding one, taken from a P4 (the one with the chipset), and putting a small 4 cm fan on it. To fix it I could attach it with hot glue, or I could build a support myself, in plastic with two holes, to mount. under the CPU.

Well I have to try the card, I bought it as untested, I think it might work, and if so, I want to build a nice 486 PC, I already have other 486DX2-66 ones, but they are all VLB, this MB has an Opti Local Bus , unfortunately I don't have a VGA OLB, but I have a 1MB WD Paradise ISA, which I was told is at the level of an ET4000, then I would have to add another 4MB of RAM, to have 8 in total, and finally an ISA sound card .

I accidentally found a Bigfoot while not even looking for one. Two euros
