For anyone who is interested, if you happen to have the Windows 7 Ultimate (evaluation version) you will know while it remains working forever, it can't be activated and so therefore there's no windows updates including getting Service Pack 1.

Latest IE is IE 9 - IE11 installer bombs out.

Edge can't be installed - the installer gets an error.

Google Chrome works but I don't know what version since I don't have the computer running today. is at version 109.0.5414.120 (same as fully up-to-date windows 32bit).

Firefox 88 is the latest one that works correctly. Every time you start it up it wants to update itself, but the result doesn't work (text is unreadable). It also offers to update to 102 ESR but that doesn't run either. So you need to uninstall the "Mozilla Update Service" and then ignore the prompts to update.

you should be able to download the update installers separately and install them offline, without ever launching the windows update app, probably even on that eval version

I've obtained the google chrome version numbers, so I've updated my 2 posts on that subject.

Supermion installed and worked flawlessly. Looks like google has changed its search settings again, and just like last time it's buggy as hell.

I have previously used MyPal on a XP computer, and it works on this eval version too.

Tried a few, doesn't work. First a box pops up saying you may be a victim of software counterfeiting, followed by another box saying the update is not applicable to this computer.

Well in that case just reformat this system and intall a proper win7 ultimate or even better server 2008 R2

No idea. None of my computers are able to run Windows 11 thanks to m$ stupid restrictions.

hmm have you tried using the registry editor to bypass them restrictions?

If you think about the TPM requirement it can be easily bypassed. I saw that W11 can be installed on quite old machines like core 2 duo era...

No but the activation process is no longer possible for any new installs

Hi, after a bit more extensive usage of ExtremeExplorer360 under WinXP (after some 20+ tabs opened or longer maps panning and zooming) I got this BSOD. I think it maybe the same problem as with MyPal68 where many users complained about the BSOD that came very easily. For MyPal there's an option: layers.omtp.enabled = false that eliminates the BSOD. Is there similar option for EE360/chromium that would solve this issue?

Mabye disabling hardware acceleration assuming that the browser supports it and has it enabled.
