This seems to be the only "big" 386 class benchmarking thread that will turn up for me at the moment. I was looking for some comparisons to my Cyrix 486SLC33 in the Epson ActionNote. I replaced the dallas a bit ago, but the floppy went south, just got that back to "mostly working". I am not sure if it's just a hair misaligned or whether the heads aren't as sensitive as some other drives to make the best of old disks as I get a few errors still.
Anyway, having a bit of a noodle around with it, not formally benching it with "i"s dotted and "t"s crossed, getting around 133-135 on LM v6.0, About 53 in Sysinfo and this Speedsys, which complains about not having a full 4MB, I am getting 16.3
I was thinking it should have 1kb cache but nothing is detecting it. Tried CacheCHK but first kilobyte was a millisecond slower than subsequent, rather than faster.
So, not many Cyrix 486SLC results out there it seems, few TI ones, but it's never clearly stated whether it's early TI cyrix identical, or late TI, improved.
edit: well I jinxed myself, floppy stopped reading anything again.
Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.
