I used a 68pin cable with termination already integrated at the end of the cable, but it is a very long cable with many connectors. Does this had disk already have the function of a terminator? I see in the “term power” settings in the disk jumper table, if it were yes I could use a simpler and shorter cable without the termination at the end of the cable.

I use it on a 2940u2w, which is a controller from much earlier than the disk, could it be incompatible with the “term power”?

Not according to the manual...

"7.4 SCSI bus terminator
Onboard SCSI active termination feature is not supported. The using system is responsible for making sure that all required
signals are terminated at both ends of the bus cable."

The 'Term Power' jumper just sets whether or not the drive also provides power (thru its 5V line) for overall bus termination.

Looks like an LVD/SE drive, so no terminator included.
Use a cable with terminator.

TERM POWER is normally supplied by the controller, no need to enable it on the drive.
With long cables, however, it may be necessary to supply TERM POWER from two devices - but I'm not sure what exactly it the threshold length: some sources claim 1.2 meters, some claim 3 meters.

In 2003, I voted in favour of joining the European Union. However, due to recent developments - especially the restrictions on cash usage - I'm hereby withdrawing my support. DOWN WITH THE EU!

No it doesnt have the function of a Terminator, but it can supply a nice 5v signal to the terminator that you have on the end of your cable to make sure its working properly.
