I love that the seller included the newspaper ad as well as their receipts for the system. That system was definitely well taken care of enjoy it!!

Today I got this TEAC CD-W540E 40x12x48x CD writer. I think it is rare, any opinions?

Makes me wonder though how much impact it experienced. Not great especially for something electromechanical like an oscillator.

follow up to my earlier leading edge winpro 486e post since i didn't have time yesterday.
30 year old hard drive stil good. quite clicky though.
booted right into windows 3.1 although, i do need to get this converted to cf asap.

Yes, the speaker is big in these and the quality is actually pretty good 😀

Found this socket 7 mobo at the thrift for 5 dollars today. I have been looking for one to complete a build.
I also saw a PC which was a celeron that i should have grabbed, but my kid was tired and having a fuss so i left it and took him home. Maybe i can go back tomorrow and grab it.

Board is a Shuttle HOT-591P, as far as I can recognize from the layout. And boy, that's a lot of serial brackets there.

Its a micro AT. I have a case for it, I have most of what I need but will need to hunt down some parts which shouldnt be too hard.

Today's special picks from the car boot sale loot. ECS K7S5A, Radeon 9600Pro, as well as a strange Ethernet card. There were also some Maxtor Atlas drives but I need to repair their boards and then find a SCSI controller.

Huge luck on eBay recently. Always wanted one and finally found an affordable Fury Maxx.

Now I need to build a system for it. 😁

Reminds me of the monitor connector on an Ollivetti m24 or AT&T PC 6300, that also delivered power via the connector to the monitor.

Yes they still sell around 300€. But I paid way less. I wanted one, but not that much, that I would spend that money. Especially because of all its flaws. But historically it’s such an important card that I’m very happy to have it and looking forward to get it running. Regarding mainboard… I have to do a bit research and see what boards are in my archive. I’m thinking about an early Athlon.

I use an Athlon 1000 on this board.
I would love to have a slotA system but I never had the opportunity to get one.

I think they work fine in 440BX too. So P3 is an option. But I already have a P3/BX system so i wanted something different
