Hi everyone,

Im currently looking at a Hitachi Flora PC (DM2 or DS2)that is not putting out any video.
The board is here but not much info ( https://theretroweb.com/motherboards/s/acer-v50lc )

When I power the machine up - the following things happen:

- ACC - seems ok
- CPU heats up / CPU fan spins
- on board graphic chip gets warm
- there is no speaker - so I dont get any posts / beeps
- there is no video from the onboard VGA
- The board has a raiser card and I installed an old ISA VGA card but again no video.
- There are a huge number of jumpers on the board and I switched some that seem to be related to a BIOS reset - but nothing happened and I dont have a documentation

What else to try ?

thanks

Yes - thats right (pictures were only taken for demonstration.)

I made some progress, but the machine is causing lots of problems. I finally got the onboard vga working. I found the jumper and it was in the right position, but corroded. However, graphic output only works ocasionally correct. Often its just garbeled blocks and symbols. Something seems wrong with the graphic chip or memory.

In addition the floppy drive is broken . I found a ripped off disc closing slider stuck inside the drive and it has damaged the heads. The problem now is the custom drive design and eject button. I really like the design language of this machine but right now Ihave no idea how to bring it back to its original glory... 🙁
