A problem with Lotus? Say it isn't so! Listen; we use Lotus Notes for email where I work and it is total crap. Now given how many years they have had to clean up their act on the Notes side, and the fact it still sucks - it wouldn't surprise me at all to hear that Lotus 123 was even worse off.

Ehm, that comment is superfluous. Lotus 123 has nothing to do with Lotus Notes, besides the company name.

Lotus 123 = Spreadsheet
Lotus Notes = Document Management Sytem, Collaborative System

I'm well aware of that. The comparison is regarding Lotus' track record with software development. They've had years to fix Lotus Notes and it is still the worst email client I've ever used. So given their inability to handle a simple email client (screw the rest of Notes), I think Lotus 123 probably isn't worth the time it has taken to type out the name of the application twice. Writing an email client just isn't that hard. Writing a spreadsheet is substantially more difficult.

That's just silly. Lotus 1-2-3 was the leading spreadsheet app for over a decade. It was the sole reason why MS poured so much money into revamping Excel over and over because many spreadsheet users just kept using 1-2-3 even when Lotus bargain binned it via OEM distribution.

I am going to Milliways your off-topic chatter about Lotus.
