VOGONS

So after a long search through my garage, I have uncovered two dust-riddled copies of one of the best games ever created, "The Day of the Tentacle". I immediately put on a huge smile and run to search the web for ways to play. After downloading scummv, I start the game. The wonderful intro plays, but soon, however, my smile fades into frown. My game seems to become 'stuck' in a single loop. The problem becomes apparent right after the time travel cut-scene. Every time I pick up the 'Super-charged battery plans', the professor tells me that I need to help him change the patent number on the plans by looking in my manual. Unfortunately, I can not access my manual. Every time I try to walk away from the plans, it just brings me back to them. I have checked various walkthroughs but none even mention a puzzle here, so I figured it must be an outside problem. Please, somebody help, I want to finish this game!

It sounds like some form of copyprotection to me, but I am not sure.

Yeah, the professor asks you a copy protection question. Surely those codes have been posted on the web somewhere.

Check replacementdocs, they should have it.
