just got it today ($4). It's the graphics card of my first computer that I built myself. want to rebuild it. Any good suggestions?

Probably befitting a Pentium II or Celeron. The 3D was riddled with problems that the Savage4 soon ironed out (and is relatively uncommon due to that)

After my AGP troubles with it on BX440 and i815 I would turn to some solid Socket 7 chipsets.

Just tested, Savage 3D works fine with AladdinV chipset.

My first computer is on VIA 693X,I remember it clearly.
Use this savage 3D for three years, Good gaming memories before I find first GF:)

Anyone Windows XP drivers?

Or did you test it under Windows 98?
