Hi i have a goldstar prime 2 9336 in quite a ruff condition which i need to test.. i am not an expert on old hardware , but i managed to find out that theres no dos driver for the card, instead of i have to set the jumpers on it in order to make it work. My problem is that i cant really find the correct manual for it. I wonder if anybody has a manual or jumper settings i can use. I want to disable the ide part i only need the two com port...

For the few that I looked at... (Left to right). JP1 = Floppy. JP3 = IDE.

Positions: Bottom = Enabled. Top = Disable

Thank You.. i noticed that, but what about the bottom 6*5 jumper fields the one with the IRQ and async ? What is that for?

Hmm, nice site here: http://viric.name/oldcomps/iocard-gprime2.html
Those jumpers for ASYN1 (COM1) and PTR (printer) are directly hooking the ports to the IRQ lines. Leave those as they are they look correct.

Thank You.. well according to the firs manual you sent me .. if i want to enable for example the com ports i need to put the jumper to pin 1 and 2 .. so on the photo all the ports are disabled? except the first and the last? Right?

The com ports are associated with the 6 * 5 jumpers and are set correctly, but you have the option to change IRQ in case it conflicts with another card. ASYN1 and ASYN2 are the two 4 * 2 connectors on the very top-left corner of the card and connect to additional COM ports.

To disable Floppy & IDE. Try setting the the two jumpers highlighted in RED (attached photo) to the top position. JP1 and JP3. If this doesn't work try JP1 and JP2.

Thank You very much for your help.. Unfortunately it only gonna arrive tomorrow.. so i cannot test it just now.. of course first i will try it as it is , and only messing with the jumpers if its not working correctly
