ESS1868 ISA Card in a 386sx machine. Works great in DOS.

The attachment IMG_1865.jpg is no longer available

Got the 1868 drivers directly from: https://www.zx.net.nz/mirror/www.esstech.com/ … pp/drivers.html

When I try to install them in Win 3.11 it says it can't find the card

The attachment IMG_1864.jpg is no longer available

Tried launching w/o networking with "win /n" -- no difference

I'm pretty confused. Never actually tried to use one of these in Windows before.

Hmm, did you try the one from Phil's ? a few files are newer (esssetup.exe) by a few months and slightly larger....

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

Just tried. Same message.

Also added a BLASTER variable to my autoexec to see if it was looking for that. No difference.
