How do I get Dosbox to report the correct amount of free disk space? It shows about 105MB free, regardless of the actual amount of disk space.

I'm running Dosbox 7.2 on Gentoo Linux.

I don't see anything in the readme that would let me tell Dosbox to use the real amount of free disk space. Since the free space on my drives varies from 300MB to 60GB, and is subject to sudden, severe changes, I don't want to hard-code numbers.

-freesize size_in_mb | size_in_kb
Sets the amount of free space available on a drive in megabytes
(regular drives) or kilobytes (floppy drives).
This is a simpler version of -size.

I don't see anything in there that says "use the real size".

True. The game I'm trying to install only requires 645 megabytes, which is somewhat less than "gigabytes".

the problem is that they actually get confused if we were to report the real free space.

They don't expect so much free disk space and refuse installation. 😎

Well the (official) limit for FAT16 is 2GB. Any games known that would break with this value?
