Hey, i downloaded the game, got the no cd patch updated to v 1.4 and everything is fine except for when i try and select a custom map the game crashes on me, pretty frustrating seeing as how i spent 2 hours making a really nice map only to find out i can't try it out... anyways if anybody can help out, it'd be much appreciated, thanks.

If you actually downloaded Warcraft 2 then we can't help you on this Forum. This site Does Not support abandonware. You need to go to the site where you downloaded it and use their Forum.

Try without the NOCD patch.

I do have the original CD (well the CD was scratched to hell and back so I have an image), I'll check it out tonight.

Install the game straight off the CD (physical CD, not image). v1.22 using DosBox versions 0.72. Default DosBox.conf.

Game tries to use GUS for SFX/Music, set to SB/General Midi.

Used "Mount d d:\ -t cdrom".

Executed game. Single-Player campaign and custom maps "icebridge" and "dragon" work fine.

Don't have any other custom maps to test with.

Installed v1.4 and maps still work fine.

I'm not going to try any of the NOCD cracks I have for Warcraft 2 since Warcraft 2 without the CD audio isn't worth playing, IMO.

Selfmade map works for me (no nocd crack used).

1+1=10
